Mike Hampton has been playing music and teaching since he was in high school. He attended SUNY Fredonia and took all of the instrument classes (even the optional ones!) and finished his BA in Music at the University of Northern Colorado.  His studies are not limited to music as he has a minor in environmental studies and numerous grad school credits in organizational leadership.

As a teacher with the Academy of Fine Arts in Glen Burnie, MD, and the Cornerstone School of Music in Windsor, CO, Mike taught private lessons and group classes for over 9 years.  In addition to private lessons in homes and through studios, Mike has student teaching and substitute teaching experience in public schools as well.

While his background and experience enable him to teach just about any beginning music student (and even a little theater!), Mike specializes in brass & wind instruments, guitar, and beginner to intermediate piano. Mike works with a wide range of abilities, ages, goals, and styles.

Mike has played professionally with The Touchstone Trombones, the 199th “Governor’s Own” Army Band, the John Mills Orchestra & Kream of the Krop big bands, and freelanced on trombone, and occasionally, euphonium.

Mr. Hampton teaches private music lessons in the following areas here at Parker Music Studio: trombone, euphonium, tuba, trumpet, French horn, guitar, and piano among others.

John graduated with a BA in music from Sul Ross State University and spent some time at the famous, Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA.  He also studied under Rusty Cooley.  He has 10+ years teaching experience and has played with bands in live shows throughout Texas.  He enjoys watching students progress musically and mastering new things.

Ramy El Baghir began playing the piano at 7 years old, but rediscovered the instrument at 15 with a newfound passion for creation and composing.

While attaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Music at Columbia University, he fell in love with film, TV, and video game scores, particularly in the fantasy genre. The piano has been the foundation for Ramy’s musical education and work, and he channels his relationship with the instrument into his lessons. With a long background in teaching, tutoring, and childcare, Ramy teaches piano with a keen eye for his students’ individual musical interests and prioritizes nurturing their enthusiasm and excitement in his lessons.
