Our Faculty
Jesse Parker is the owner and founder of Parker Music Studio.
She has performed with a number of professional orchestras including the Binghamton Philharmonic, the Lima Symphony Orchestra, the Adrian Symphony Orchestra, and the Orchestra of Northern New York.
Mrs. Parker has performed in venues including Carnegie Hall, Steinway Hall, the Eastman Kodak Theater, and the Avery Fischer Center for the Performing Arts.
Each year, Mrs. Parker has students in BCMEA All-County, the Binghamton Youth Symphony, and at the NYSSMA Festival.
Mrs. Parker received her Bachelor’s degree in Violin Performance from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam and graduated magna cum laude.

Kurtis Parker is a musician based in the Binghamton area. He has performed with professional orchestras including the Binghamton Philharmonic, the Lima Symphony Orchestra, the Adrian Symphony Orchestra, and the Orchestra of Northern New York. Not limited to classical music, Mr. Parker plays electric violin with local band, The Letter 5 and also plays roots and blues with local musician Jay Floyd. Mr. Parker teaches 6-12 Orchestra at the Maine-Endwell Central School District. He received his Bachelor's degree in Music Education from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam and his Master's degree in Violin Performance from Bowling Green State University.

Kelly Roggenkamp is a compelling and versatile coloratura soprano who just moved to Binghamton and loves performing operatically and in musical theater venues. With strong emphasis on vocal technique, Kelly teaches voice at The County College of Morris, where she serves as an adjunct faculty member.

Mrs. Roggenkamp attended New York University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance receiving the Founder's Day Award and The Steinhardt School's Outstanding Achievement and Citizenship Award.
Also, she holds a Master's Degree in Music with a specialty in Opera Performance from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. Mrs. Roggenkamp has also performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall, The Kimmel Center, NJPAC, MPAC, The ProvinceTown Playhouse, The Frederick Loewe Theater, Roxbury PAC, and was an artist for the International Vocal Arts Institute of NYC, working alongside Metropolitan Opera professionals.
She has served as Music Director at Brundage Park Playhouse directing performances of South Pacific and Into The Woods.
Mrs. Roggenkamp has won First Place Prizes in the Morristown PAC Competition “Morristown on Stage” and the Roxbury PAC Competition “The Star Next Door.” Other recent awards include winning the NY Mets National Anthem Search, for which she won the opportunity to sing the National Anthem before a Mets home game at Citi Field.

Mrs. Roggenkamp teaches private vocal lessons and provides vocal coaching, as well as beginning piano here at Parker Music Studio.
Mike Hampton has been playing music and teaching since he was in high school. He attended SUNY Fredonia and took all of the instrument classes (even the optional ones!) and finished his BA in Music at the University of Northern Colorado. His studies are not limited to music as he has a minor in environmental studies and numerous grad school credits in organizational leadership.
As a teacher with the Academy of Fine Arts in Glen Burnie, MD, and the Cornerstone School of Music in Windsor, CO, Mike taught private lessons and group classes for over 9 years. In addition to private lessons in homes and through studios, Mike has student teaching and substitute teaching experience in public schools as well.
While his background and experience enable him to teach just about any beginning music student (and even a little theater!), Mike specializes in brass & wind instruments, guitar, and beginner to intermediate piano. Mike works with a wide range of abilities, ages, goals, and styles.
Mike has played professionally with The Touchstone Trombones, the 199th “Governor’s Own” Army Band, the John Mills Orchestra & Kream of the Krop big bands, and freelanced on trombone, and occasionally, euphonium.
Mr. Hampton teaches private music lessons in the following areas here at Parker Music Studio: trombone, euphonium, tuba, trumpet, French horn, guitar, and piano among others.

After hearing Guns n Roses when he was 10 years old, John Wirag was inspired to play the guitar and has not stopped playing since. He then developed a love for piano. Over time, he has developed an appreciation for multiple genres and currently enjoys playing metal, rock, blues, and classical music.
John graduated with a BA in music from Sul Ross State University and spent some time at the famous, Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA. He also studied under Rusty Cooley. He has 10+ years teaching experience and has played with bands in live shows throughout Texas. He enjoys watching students progress musically and mastering new things.

Ramy El Baghir began playing the piano at 7 years old, but rediscovered the instrument at 15 with a newfound passion for creation and composing.
While attaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Music at Columbia University, he fell in love with film, TV, and video game scores, particularly in the fantasy genre. The piano has been the foundation for Ramy’s musical education and work, and he channels his relationship with the instrument into his lessons. With a long background in teaching, tutoring, and childcare, Ramy teaches piano with a keen eye for his students’ individual musical interests and prioritizes nurturing their enthusiasm and excitement in his lessons.
